Okay, I swear this isn’t going to (totally) be a wedding planning blog, but how fricking cute is this *free* monogram from The Wedding Chicks.
And yes, I’ll be switching from a D to an H next year. Sorta sad; I love being a D!

So I suck about updating this blog. As the day gets closer, I get busier and busier so please accept my apology.
Anyway, here is a picture of one of the favors given out at my NJ shower. Super cute!
So, as you all are well aware of, I received our wedding invitations in the mail yesterday. This is when I realized that in addition to handwriting every guest’s name and address, I will have to handwrite our return address on the back flap since they were not pre-printed. That’s just too much cursive for me, so I decided to order a self inking stamp from Bear Rubber Stamps on Etsy:
Anyway, I’m making my way through the payment information when I see this:
This credit card transaction will appear on your bill as “PAYPAL *BEARRUBBERS”.
Laughed out loud.
PS: That is not our real address, silly willies.
Our invitations are being delivered today! So very excited for these! I can’t wait to see them. We ordered them from a woman in California, so all proofing was done via e-mail. Which makes me a tad bit nervous, but I picked her because the projects she showcases on her blog are out of this world amazing! Plus, she had damask invitations before they were everywhere, I guess I’m just that ahead of things!
I can’t wait to rush home and see them! They will be in the mail early-March. I can’t wait to see who’s coming!

Got the tuxes picked out today!
Another successful DIY (I almost just wrote DUI, as I am watching Intervention right now). Anyway, this is a card box for any cards we receive at the reception! This way none will get lost and it will be pretty impossible for someone to walk away with this without being noticed! :) Love it!
Ta-da! Wedding wands, which will be used in lieu of bubbles, birdseed, or anything of the like. These were one of those projects that if I knew ahead of time how labor-intensive they would be, I probably wouldn’t have done them. However, I did, and I guess it was worth it. Eric actually helped me a significant amount on these! He was the main man behind screwing the eye hooks into the ends of the dowels. He even helped me tie some ribbon, which he told me upfront he would “mess up” because he “wasn’t good at crafts”. I told him as long as 1) he wasn’t colorblind and 2) he knew how to tie, he’d be great at it. He still insists it was a craft.
